Introduction

Calling all Twilight Crocheters!!!
I completed a knit version of this hat and loved it! I am much more crochet-inclined, so I waited and waited for someone to write this hat in a crochet pattern. After a little bit, I decided to write it up myself.
I wrote the pattern to fit an adult, but there is room for adjusting the size. My finished hat is 80 sts around after the increases. This fits my 22.5 inch head, with a little room for comfort!

Materials List

Worsted Weight Yarn (I used TLC Essentials in Medium Thyme and Aran)
H hook (5.0mm)

The Pattern

With green (CA), Chain 3 and join into a ring with a slip stitch.

Row 1) 8 sc into ring, slst to join (8 sts)

Row 2) ch 1*fpsc in first st, sc in same st*, slst to join (16 sts),

Row 3) ch 1, fpsc in first st, sc in same st, *sc in next st, fpsc in next st & sc in

same st * slst to join (24 sts)

Row 4) ch 1, fpsc in first st, sc in same st, *sc in next 2 sts, fpsc in next st & sc in

same st * slst to join (32 sts)

Row 5) ch 1, fpsc in first st, sc in same st, *sc in next 3 sts, fpsc in next st & sc in

same st * slst to join (40 sts)

Row 6) ch 1, fpsc in first st, sc in same st, *sc in next 4 sts, fpsc in next st & sc in

same st * slst to join (48 sts)

Row 7) ch 1, fpsc in first st, sc in same st, *sc in next 5 sts, fpsc in next st & sc in

same st * slst to join (56 sts)

Row 8) ch 1, fpsc in first st, sc in same st, *sc in next 6 sts, fpsc in next st & sc in

same st * slst to join (64 sts)

Attach white (CB)

Row 9) ch 1, sc in each stitch. 2 sc in stitch every time you come to a fpsc, slst to join (64 sts) *do this until you reach the circumference you desire.  For an adult size, I increased each row until I had 80 sts*

Row 10) ch 1, sc around, slst to join

Rows 11-12) ch 1, sc around, slst to join

With CB

Row 13) ch 1, sc around, slst to join

With CA

Rows 14-15) ch 1, sc around, slst to join

With CB

Row 16) ch 2, hdc around, slst to join

With CA                                                                                      

Rows 17-20) ch 1, sc around, slst to join

Rows 21-22) ch 1, sc around, slst to join

Row 23) ch 1, sc around, slst to join

With CB

Row 24) ch 2, hdc around, slst to join

Rows 25-26) ch 1, sc around, slst to join

Rows 27-28) ch 2, hdc around, slst to join

Row 29) ch 1, sc around, slst to join, fasten off CB.

Rows 30-36) ch 2, alternating fphdc/bphdc around. fasten off and weave in ends.
